That isn't me in the photo, but I did feed the dogs with a spoon back in the day. I grew up country, but not on a farm. I had to learn things like haying as an adult. My family land has been incorporated into the city but all it means is higher taxes, we still can't see our neighbors!
Great Pyrenees
Guard the Farm
Polar Bear is our Great Pyrenees. He was preceded by Dusti the Chow mix and Hawk the Lab mix. The thing about chickens is, everything likes to eat them! They are relatively helpless at night so they sleep in the coop for safety.
In 2021 Sugar Bear joined the pack. Sugar Bear is also a Great Pyrenees. Typically one dog is loose at night and one is kept in with the birds.
